DIYU: Bests Sites to Learn New Crafts
Despite the fact that for many of us technology is a staple in our daily routine, there’s an increasing interest in learning hands on DIY skills and many ways to learn a new craft. So far this month we've had amazing guests sharing their passion & skills here at DIYU: School for Crafting Misfits series. My aim is to introduce you to new techniques and help you reclaim your creativity. Today I want to take some time and share with you some other amazing crafting communities and websites that will help you hone your skills and inspire you to create.
What the Craft- Meet Lex, craft addict & clothing designer. She shares tons of great DIY tutorials including Sewing 101, How to Make Metallic Leaf Jewelry, and even some great home decor projects too!

DIY Network- Not everyone has the opportunity to watch this cable/satellite channel's craft shows, like Jewelry Making, Knitty Gritty, Creative Juice, and Craft Lab, but you can go to the site for free patterns and tutorials. Every episode of every show has a project page with all the instructions you'll need!
Creativebug- Fancy learning how to crochet at midnight? Have a hankering to paint in your pajamas? Subscribe to Creativebug and you’ll have unlimited access to video workshops. Each workshop is broken down into video segments so you can skip ahead or watch a video again and again until you master a technique. They even offer some free content if you'd like to try it out!
Craftsy- Craftsy is a community of people who love to make things. We're learning from, inspiring and helping each other. We are dedicated to providing the best education and resources for crafters. Check out our courses in quilting, knitting and more!
Tell me in the comments, where are you favorite places to get crafty either online of off! Have a site to add to this list? I'd love to hear about it.
